Lightning Roulette at UK casinos

Lightning Roulette is a live roulette game show made by Evolution. It keeps the live wheel, the live dealer and the usual roulette bets, and adds random Lucky Numbers to every round. A Lucky Number carries a multiplied payout, but only on a Straight Up bet. The studio sets it in a black and gold Art Deco environment with a game show style of presentation. Our team tests and checks every fact here against the studio's page and each casino's own pages.

How Lightning Roulette works

The wheel is the single-zero kind: the numbers 1-36 plus one zero. A player bets on where the ball will land, with a single number or a group of numbers, and each type of bet has its own payout rate.

An automatic wheel spins the ball. When betting time ends, the presenter pulls a lever and the game generates the Lucky Numbers. Between one and five numbers are picked at random, each given its own random Lucky Payout, and the screen highlights them. The ball then settles in a numbered pocket. A bet wins if it covers that winning number.

Only a Straight Up bet on a Lucky Number takes the multiplier, using the payout attached to that number. A Straight Up bet without a multiplier pays 29:1. Splits, corners, red or black and dozens pay the same as in standard roulette.

RTP and multipliers

Evolution's page for this game gives no RTP figure, so none is given here. Lucky Payouts run from 50x to 500x, and each Lucky Number gets its own value in the round.

A multiplier raises what a Straight Up win pays. It does not change the chance of that number coming up, and every spin is independent. For a version with higher multipliers, see XXXtreme Lightning Roulette.

UK casinos that list Lightning Roulette

Every casino on this site holds a Gambling Commission licence. Mr Vegas and Unibet are the casinos whose own pages name Lightning Roulette itself. The others below name Evolution's live lobby or its XXXtreme version.

  • Mr Vegas names Lightning Roulette beside Crazy Time and Monopoly Live.
  • Unibet says Evolution delivers its Lightning Roulette and Crazy Time experiences.
  • LeoVegas lists XXXtreme Lightning Roulette from Evolution among its game shows, and Evolution among its providers.
  • Grosvenor Casinos names Evolution Gaming among the studios behind its games.
  • Casumo has Evolution in the provider list on its promotions page.
  • BetMGM shows Evolution as a live provider on its live casino page, with 143 beside it.

The own pages of William Hill and 888casino name neither the game nor Evolution.

Play within your limits

Set deposit, loss and time limits before you sit at a table. Live rounds and game show spins come quickly, so set a session time as well and keep to it.

Between them, the casinos on this page state deposit limits, time-outs or breaks, reality checks or session reminders, and self-exclusion on their own pages. LeoVegas and BetMGM add loss, stake and session limits. Mr Vegas adds wager, loss and max bet limits, and the max bet limit caps the size of a single bet. Casumo adds wagering and loss limits. Unibet and William Hill add a product block.

A bonus or a big multiplier on screen is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss. A self-exclusion is a decision to stop, not something to look for a way around. Gamstop blocks every site licensed in Great Britain at once. You must be 18 or over to play.
