XXXtreme Lightning Roulette is the version of Lightning Roulette with more and bigger multipliers, made by Evolution. Each round adds randomly chosen lucky numbers with multipliers, and a Chain Lightning round can add more. A multiplied payout needs a Straight Up bet on one of those numbers.

Our team tests and checks every fact on this page against Evolution's own pages for the game and the casino pages our team checked. Where those pages give no figure, this page gives none.

How XXXtreme Lightning Roulette works

The aim is to predict the number the ball lands on by placing one or more bets that cover it. A bet that covers the winning number wins.

When betting time closes, the Lightning phase starts. One to five Lightning Numbers are generated, each with a random multiplier, and they are highlighted in the studio and on the screen.

The Lightning phase is followed by a Chain Lightning round. It can add up to nine more lucky bet spots, and the Lightning Numbers and Chain Lightning Numbers together never exceed ten bet spots in a round. The Chain Lightning Numbers and their multipliers are highlighted on the screen.

Double Strikes come next. They can hit any lucky bet spot already on the board and raise its multiplier.

If the winning number is a Lightning Number or a Chain Lightning Number, the bet is multiplied. Evolution's page is clear that a Straight Up bet on that number is required to win the multiplied payout.

What XXXtreme adds to Lightning Roulette is the Chain Lightning round and the Double Strikes. The Lightning phase itself still produces one to five numbers in both games.

RTP and multipliers

Evolution's page for the game gives no RTP figure, and none of the casino pages our team checked gives one, so this page gives none.

Lightning Numbers carry random multipliers from 50x to 500x. Chain Lightning Numbers carry Chain Lightning Multipliers, and the page gives no separate range for them. A Double Strike raises a lucky bet spot to a multiplier between 600x and 2,000x.

Evolution's page for Lightning Roulette gives the same 50x to 500x range for its Lucky Numbers.

UK casinos that list XXXtreme Lightning Roulette

Every casino listed on this site holds a Gambling Commission licence. Of the eight our team has rated, one names the game on its own pages:

  • LeoVegas: its casino page lists XXXtreme Lightning Roulette under Game Shows, with Evolution as the studio.

Four more list Evolution as a live provider without naming this game:

  • Grosvenor Casinos: Evolution Gaming is named in the provider list on its poker terms page.
  • Casumo: Evolution appears in the long list of studios on one of its promotions pages.
  • Unibet: its games page says Evolution delivers its live roulette, live blackjack, Lightning Roulette and Crazy Time.
  • BetMGM: its live casino page shows Evolution in its list of live providers.

The other three are counted, not credited. The pages our team checked for William Hill, Mr Vegas and 888casino name neither this game nor Evolution as a studio.

Play within your limits

Set a deposit limit, a loss limit and a time limit before you play. Roulette rounds and game show spins come quickly, so also set a session time and take a break when it ends.

The casinos on this page state their own tools. All eight state deposit limits and self-exclusion. LeoVegas, Casumo, Mr Vegas and BetMGM also state loss limits, and LeoVegas and BetMGM state session limits. Grosvenor Casinos, LeoVegas, Casumo, Mr Vegas and BetMGM state reality checks, while William Hill and 888casino state session time reminders.

A bonus or a big multiplier on screen is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss.

Gamstop blocks you from every online site licensed in Great Britain at once. A casino's own self-exclusion covers that business only. You must be 18 or over to play.

If gambling is causing you harm, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 (England and Scotland) or the NHS Wales Helpline on 0808 2819 265 (Wales). GambleAware's help services are available only to Great Britain residents.

Questions

How is XXXtreme Lightning Roulette different?

Evolution describes it as having more and bigger multipliers than Lightning Roulette. Two additions explain that: a Chain Lightning round that widens the set of lucky numbers, and Double Strikes that lift a multiplier higher still.

What is the top multiplier?

2,000x, the highest multiplier Evolution's page states for the game. The page gives no figure for how often it lands.
