BetMGM review for UK players

The live casino page describes live play with real dealers across classic casino games. Its provider list names Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, PlayTech Live, OnAir Entertainment and Ezugi, with 143 shown next to Evolution, 67 next to Pragmatic Play Live and 68 next to PlayTech Live.

Many tables are marked exclusive. Evolution runs Exclusive Live Roulette, Exclusive Blackjack 1, Exclusive Speed Blackjack and Exclusive Free Bet Blackjack 1. PlayTech runs MGM Exclusive Blackjack. OnAir Entertainment runs BetMGM Roulette and BetMGM Mega Moolah.

The page lists minimum stakes for its tables. The table limits start at £5 for Exclusive Blackjack 1 and Exclusive Free Bet Blackjack 1, and at £10 for Exclusive Live Roulette, BetMGM Roulette and Exclusive Speed Blackjack. MGM Exclusive Blackjack from PlayTech and Exclusive Free Bet Blackjack from Evolution ask for £20. Sveasviten Blackjack asks for £50 and Sveasviten Free Bet Blackjack for £100. BetMGM Mega Moolah starts at £0.50.

The live casino page has a Game Shows group. Evolution supplies Disco Balls, Crazy Time Live, Ice Fishing Live, Live Mega Ball and Crazy Balls Live. PlayTech supplies Family Feud Live and Wonderland Lucky Ball. The group also lists Crazy Coin Flip Live, Funky Time, Lightning Storm, Mega Fire Blaze Lucky Ball Live, Buffalo Blitz Live and Extra Chilli Epic Spins. The names belong to their studios. Our live casino game shows page describes the format.

The casino welcome offer is 200 free spins on Big Bass Splash, each worth 10p. A new customer selects the offer during registration, deposits £10 and plays £10 on casino games, all within 7 days of registering. The spins stay valid for 3 days.

The offer carries wagering of 0x on winnings from the free spins, and those winnings are credited to the account at once. The qualifying play is 1x on casino games, and the terms say that contributions vary. The offer pages give no maximum bet for this offer.

Game contribution decides what counts towards the requirement. Slots, instants and Slingo count at 100%, with named exceptions. Live Casino counts at 0%, and so do table games. A short list counts at 10%: Dream Catcher, Mega Ball, Low Stakes Roulette and European Roulette, among others. Compare how other casinos count live play on the live casino bonuses page.

BetMGM's pages show Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay as ways to pay. Wire transfer and DBT (Direct Bank Transfer) are marked for withdrawals. The welcome offer needs a £10 deposit. BetMGM's pages give no withdrawal time and no withdrawal limits.

BetMGM's terms say it may run identity, credit and other checks before a customer withdraws funds.

An account that stays dormant is charged a monthly administration fee of £5 from its balance, starting at least 30 days after BetMGM first tries to notify the customer.

BetMGM is operated by LeoVegas Gaming PLC. Its terms say the company is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 39198 for customers located in the United Kingdom. The terms give the registered office as Level 7, The Plaza Business Centre, Bisazza Street, SLM 1640, Sliema, Malta, with company number C59314. The About page says BetMGM UK is brought to you by MGM Resorts International.

Customers must be at least 18 and located in the United Kingdom. If a complaint is not settled, the terms point to IBAS, Independent Betting Adjudication Services Limited, a dispute resolution service.

Our team rates BetMGM 3.8 out of 5.

Pros:

• Welcome offer wagering of 0x
• 1,500+ games, the casino's own claim (no exact count)
• Live chat
• Apps on the App Store and Google Play

Cons:

• Account and safety scores 2 of 5 in our rating: no active licence register status or deposit limits with self-exclusion found on its pages
• VIP and loyalty scores 3 of 5 in our rating: BetMGM Rewards with no tiers or points-to-cash rate found on its pages

Set your limits before the first round. Choose a deposit limit, a loss limit and a time limit while you are calm, and keep to them. Live rounds and game show spins come quickly, so set a session time before you sit down and stop when it ends.

BetMGM's terms say it gives users the facility to exclude themselves, and to use time-outs, reality checks and financial limits. They list daily, weekly and monthly deposit and net deposit limits, and loss, stake and session limits.

A bonus or a big multiplier on screen is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss. Every spin and every round is independent, and a loss does not make the next result more likely.

Gamstop blocks every site licensed in Great Britain at once: when you register with Gamstop Online you are blocked from gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain. Gambling businesses must also have their own self-exclusion arrangements. Only people aged 18 or over may gamble.

If gambling stops being fun, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 (England and Scotland) or the NHS Wales Helpline on 0808 2819 265 (Wales). GambleAware and Gamstop both have more information.
