MONOPOLY Live is a live game show from Evolution, built on the MONOPOLY board game. A host spins a large money wheel and players bet on the segment where it stops. Some segments start a bonus round on a 3D board, where Mr. Monopoly walks the squares and collects prizes. Three of the eight casinos our team has rated name it on their own pages. Our team checks every fact here against the pages listed under Sources.

How Monopoly Live works

Each round starts with the host spinning the wheel. It has 54 equal segments. Of these, 48 carry a number (1, 2, 5 or 10), two are Chance segments, three are 2 ROLLS and one is 4 ROLLS.

Before the spin, players place bets on the segment they expect the wheel to stop at. The betting grid offers 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS. Chance has no spot on the grid. A flapper at the top of the wheel marks the winning segment. A winning number bet pays at the odds of its number: a 5 pays 5:1 and a 10 pays 10:1. The stake comes back with the winnings.

When the wheel stops on Chance, Mr. Monopoly turns over a Chance card. The card holds either a random cash prize or a random multiplier. A cash prize is paid to every player. A multiplier leaves all bets in place, the host spins again, and the multiplier applies to the winnings from that spin. A second multiplier is multiplied on top of the first. If that next spin lands on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS, the multipliers on the bonus board are multiplied by the amount won.

Every spin is independent. The studio's page describes no pattern in the wheel to read, and none should be assumed.

The bonus round

The bonus game starts when the wheel stops on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS. Mr. Monopoly then sets off around a 3D MONOPOLY board. Only players who bet on that exact spot take part in the prizes. A player without a bet on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS still sees the round but wins nothing from it.

A 2 ROLLS result gives at least two rolls of the dice, and 4 ROLLS gives at least four. The dice are rolled in the live studio. After each roll, Mr. Monopoly walks as many squares as the two dice add up to, and cash prizes are collected for the qualifying players at each stop. A double adds one more roll, except when doubles are used to get out of Jail.

When no rolls are left, the total bonus winnings are paid together with the original bet, and play returns to the money wheel. The board is the British version by default. The German and Italian versions of the board are also available.

UK casinos that list MONOPOLY Live

Every casino on this site holds a Gambling Commission licence. These three name MONOPOLY Live on their own pages:

  • Grosvenor Casinos lists it on its live casino page, with Live Deal or No Deal, Live Crazy Time and Live Dreamcatcher. See the Grosvenor Casinos review.
  • Mr Vegas names it on its casino page as a live game show, next to Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette. See the Mr Vegas review.
  • Unibet lists it on its live casino page among its game shows, with Dream Catcher, Mega Ball, Sweet Bonanza CandyLand, Lightning Dice and Monopoly Roulette. See the Unibet review.

The research pages for William Hill, LeoVegas, Casumo, 888casino and BetMGM do not name MONOPOLY Live. Lobbies change, so check the live casino page of a casino before you join.

Play within your limits

Set deposit, loss and time limits before you play, not during a round. Live rounds and game show spins come quickly, so also set a session time and stop when it ends. A bonus or a big multiplier on screen is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss. You must be 18 or over to play.

The three casinos on this page state these tools:

  • Grosvenor Casinos: net deposit limits, gross deposit limits, take a break, self exclusion, reality check and game session reminders.
  • Mr Vegas: wager, deposit, loss, max bet and time-out limits, a reality check and a lock account tool, plus self-exclusion.
  • Unibet: a deposit limit, a net deposit limit, product block and self exclusion.

Gamstop blocks every site licensed in Great Britain at once. Self-exclusion is never a step to work around.

If gambling is causing harm, these services can help:

  • National Gambling Helpline (England and Scotland): 0808 8020 133
  • NHS Wales Helpline (Wales): 0808 2819 265
  • GambleAware: online support for Great Britain residents
  • Gamstop: self-exclusion from every online site licensed in Great Britain
