- Where the facts come from
- each supplier's own pages and each casino's own pages
Every live table is streamed from a studio run by a games supplier, and the casino carries it. The casino does not film the game. It adds the supplier's table to its own lobby. This page covers Evolution and Playtech Live, then shows which studios the casinos on this site name on their own pages. Our team tests and checks every fact here against those pages. The same split runs through the live game shows and the roulette, blackjack and baccarat tables: one supplier makes and films the game, and several casinos can carry it.
Evolution
By its own account, Evolution builds games, studios and technology in-house. Its home page lists the brands Evolution, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Ezugi, Big Time Gaming, Nolimit City, Sneaky Slots and DigiWheel.
Evolution says it runs studios across Europe, North America, South America and Asia, and over 2,000 live tables for licensed operators worldwide. Its locations page names Armenia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania and Spain in Europe; Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the USA; British Columbia in Canada; the Philippines in Asia; and Argentina, Brazil and Colombia in Latin America.
Three production hubs form the backbone. Riga in Latvia is where many new games are created and tested before release. Malta hosts presenter teams that deliver native-language tables for regulated markets including Denmark and Sweden. Tbilisi in Georgia is the largest studio hub. Dual Play tables sit inside land-based casinos in the United Kingdom, Malta, Romania and the United States, linking physical tables with online players in real time.
The Gambling Commission line on its home page reads: "Evolution Malta Holdings Limited is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission (GB) under account numbers 41655." Its licences page also lists a United Kingdom Gambling Commission combined remote operating licence. Our Evolution studio page goes into its games.
Playtech Live
Playtech describes itself as a global leader in live casino entertainment, with dedicated studio space in Europe, the USA and Latin America. Its flagship facility is in Latvia, with live studios in Romania and Spain, a presence in Peru and Brazil, and dedicated spaces in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. A further space in Las Vegas is run in cooperation with MGM Live.
Its Live from streams are named for the venues they come from. Live from Las Vegas is streamed from the MGM Grand, and Live from London is broadcast from the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square.
The branded shows on its page are Family Feud, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Deal or No Deal, The Money Drop and Fashion TV. Playtech calls Family Feud Live from Vegas the first live casino game show streamed directly from the MGM Grand, made with MGM Resorts, Playtech and Fremantle. Its own titles include Quantum Roulette, Mega Fire Blaze Roulette and Wonderland Lucky Ball. The show names belong to their owners and are used here only to describe the games.
Playtech's about page gives its Gambling Commission account number as 38516. The Playtech Live studio page covers the games in more detail.
Studios at each casino
The table shows the casinos whose own pages name live studios.
| Casino | Live studios named | What its pages show |
|---|---|---|
| LeoVegas | Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, PlayTech | Game shows lobby: Evolution beside Crazy Time Live, Stock Market Live, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, Crazy Pachinko Live and Crazy Coin Flip Live; Pragmatic Play Live beside Mega Roulette Live; PlayTech beside Mega Fire Blaze Roulette |
| Unibet | Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Stakelogic Live, OnAir | Evolution named as delivering its live roulette, live blackjack, Lightning Roulette and Crazy Time |
| BetMGM | Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, PlayTech Live, OnAir Entertainment, Ezugi | Live casino filter lists Evolution 143, Pragmatic Play Live 67 and PlayTech Live 68; game shows list Evolution for Crazy Time Live and PlayTech for Family Feud Live and Wonderland Lucky Ball |
Grosvenor Casinos and Casumo each list Evolution among their game providers, but their lists cover every kind of game, so they do not say which tables Evolution films. The own pages of William Hill, Mr Vegas and 888casino name no live studio.
Questions
Who films live casino games?
A games supplier, in studios that the supplier runs. Evolution and Playtech Live are two of them, and the casinos on this site also name Pragmatic Play Live, Stakelogic Live, OnAir and Ezugi. LeoVegas puts the supplier in the title of its game pages, for example "Play Blackjack Diamond VIP by Evolution", so the title shows who filmed that table.
Is a studio the same as the casino?
No. A studio belongs to a supplier. The casino is the business that holds your account and sets its own bonus terms, and it chooses which supplier tables to list in its lobby.
