How we rate live casinos

The short version

Each rating draws on several sources. The licence comes from the Gambling Commission register and the casino's own terms, the live tables, studios and bonuses from the casino's own pages, and game facts from the studios' own pages.

Before a page is published, our team tests the casinos and checks every fact on it. The sections below explain each step.

The licence

Every casino on this site holds a Gambling Commission licence, and we check each one on the Commission's public register. We read the register's files of domain names, trading names and businesses, and list a casino only if it appears there.

We also read the licence statement in each casino's own terms, so a review gives the licence as the casino itself words it.

Live tables and studios

A casino's live lobby is written up as it lists it: the live tables, the studios behind them and the game shows. RTP and multipliers are given as numbers taken from the studio that makes the game, never as adjectives.

If a casino or studio does not state an RTP, a table limit or a game contribution, we do not estimate one.

Live results trackers and prediction methods have no place here. Every spin is independent, so no past result tells you what comes next.

Bonuses and how live games count

For each welcome offer we give the wagering requirement, how live games count towards it, the maximum bet and the expiry, as the casino states them. Those terms are gathered on our page on live casino bonuses.

How we keep the facts current

Each page shows when it was last updated, because a bonus, a limit or a game list can change after a page is published. Check that date before you act on an offer or a limit.

The sources list on a page names what each site was used for, with one line for each home domain. Our team's tests of the casinos are listed as a source of their own.

How we rate a casino

A rating is out of 5 and comes from six scored criteria, each with a weight: Bonuses 20, Games 20, Account and safety 15, VIP and loyalty 10, Support 10 and Mobile 5. The weights add up to 80.

Payments and speed is shown but not scored: it has a weight of 0 and does not change a rating. If a casino's pages do not let us score one of the other criteria, we leave it out for that casino and scale the rest so the rating stays on the same scale.

Bonuses looks at the welcome offer and its wagering. Games looks at the games the casino offers. Account and safety looks at its responsible gambling tools, its complaints route and its identity check clause. VIP and loyalty looks at its programme, Support at its contact channels and Mobile at its mobile site.

If you think we are wrong

If a fact on a page is wrong, email info@onairtables.co.uk with the page and the fact you think is wrong.

We then read the casino's own page again, correct our fact if it differs and update the page.
